Did You Know…

Since 1969 we designed and built over 10 million Child Restraints providing safety for millions of Australian children and peace of mind for their families.

We have 123 safety related patents & design rights worldwide.

Britax work closely with vehicle manufacturers world wide to develop and design improvements that enhance the performance of our Child Restraints.

That car makers trust us so much, that 80% of all cars rated by Euro NCAP used at least one of our seats.

That our tests vastly exceed industry requirements, are designed to put our strollers through the same punishment as parents and tested by strolling through mud & sand for 16 hours, pushed over 400km of bumpy potholes, brakes turned on and off 6,000 times.

That Britax conducts more than 5,000 tests down its sleds worldwide at its industry-leading specialised test houses.

Through our testing, we reproduce buckling and unbuckling your child in a seat up to 4 times a day for 10 years.

We test our ISOFIX connectors by simulating 4 years of moving the seat between two cars daily.

That we test certain seats to ensure they meet airline guidelines for use in planes we even test these in real aeroplane crash test environments.

We don’t shop for safety off the shelf. We invent it. It is in our DNA. As devoted experts, we listen, we question and push the boundaries to safer products.

Height is the most important factor in choosing the right car seat.  Did You Also Know?…Cars are designed for average-sized adults NOT children so your child must be a minimum of 145cm before they can safely move out of a booster and into an adult back seat in a vehicle.
